Höhle nördlich des Sees Genezareth (Palästina) mit Fundschichten aus der Alt- und Mittelsteinzeit; in den 40-50 000 Jahre alten orientalischen Moustérienschichten (Levalloistechnik) wurden menschliche Skelettreste gefunden, u. a. das Skelett eines Neandertalers männlichen Geschlechts, dessen sehr großem Schädel jedoch das typische »Spitzgesicht« des klassischen europäischen Neandertalers fehlt.
